Tracie Mathewes
Tracie's Father was a major influence on her decision to pursue fitness as a career. His natural athletic ability served him through many college sports. Likewise, Tracie found a natural athleticism that led her to study Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina.

Tracie's career in fitness began with a job in college selling memberships to The Firm, located in downtown Columbia, SC. One of her favorite memories is selling memberships and collecting the money in a cigar box! Tracie was blessed to learn how to teach classes as well as work on a video production set by the best of the best, Anna and Cynthia Benson. Tracie worked in a multitude of roles behind the scenes as co-choreographer, lead and cast trainer and floor manager as well as in front of the camera in both cast and lead roles. After 13 years of working for The Firm Tracie began her family and took a hiatus from making fitness videos. In 2003 she began working with her team of Blue Fish Fitness Club women to make functional fitness DVDs for the same market who enjoyed her appearance in The Firm titles. With the stage name "Tracie Long" (short for Tracie Longerbeam, her maiden name), Tracie Long Training produced Health Magaizine's "Fitness Video of the Year" for 2006 in the strength category.
